bilingual editor & writer
I'MÂ ASHLEY,
a bilingual storyteller and food nerd.

Thrilled by representing the world clearly with words, I started writing early.
First it was just my high school paper and a local business magazine.

Now I am published on Reporters Without Borders, a Paris-based INGO dedicated to press freedom, Nom Magazine, a Taiwanese food and beverage magazine providing industry insights, and Notre Dame’s School of Arts and Letters Media Office, a marketing team that attracts the brightest students in the country.

So lots of writing in English and Chinese, but also a lot of researching, interviewing, editing, translating— and thinking.

I discovered words' power combined with strategic marketing when:

I analyzed the English book market at London’s prestigious literary agency Rogers Coleridge & White.
I assisted wedding and conference planning and at VenueND.
I tracked the rise of fast-casual dining and "natural" desserts in Europe (among many trends and gems) for Nom Magazine and, really, for my own curiosity.
I interviewed and turned outstanding students at Notre Dame into Harry Potters and Holden Claufields via EDM.

Telling stories is fun.

Marketing using words is fun.

Making myself a positive force in the world through words is really fun.

But,
what I care most about is GOOD FOOD, HOSPITAL RESTAURANTS, and

MAKING THEM KNOWN,
which is my mission now.
